Job Summary
Reporting to the LSQ Services Coordinator, the incumbent is responsible for tasks related to LSQ training, with the aim of contributing to the quality of the LSQ course offering.
Job Description
- Give private, group or in-house LSQ courses, according to the established plan.
- Correct assignments and exams.
- Offer and deliver engaging and interactive student-centered lessons using the communicative language teaching approach.
- Establish a warm, inviting and non-judgmental learning environment for all.
- Maintain a positive attitude and build strong relationships with students.
- Adapt teaching methodologies and classroom activities.
- Respect program and curriculum standards and objectives.
- Use technology and authentic language resources to create an enriching and varied learning experience.
- Provide corrective feedback and learning guidance to students.
- Participate in the design of learning materials.
- Attend staff meetings and professional development workshops.
Skills and Qualifications
- Excellent command of the QSL.
- Excellent pedagogue, caring, active listener.
- Excellent time management, planning and organizational skills.
- Creativity, flexibility, autonomy.
- Experience in distance and online teaching (asset).
- Certificates from professional associations and companies (asset).
- Willingness to work atypical hours.
Work schedule: part-time (between 5 and 10 hours/week)
Workplace: remote and/or face-to-face.
Salary: to be discussed according to training and experience
Job duration: 6-month probation with possibility of renewal
Start date: september 2023
