CB Linguistic Services (CBLS) provides consulting, training and research services across Canada. We serve individuals, non-profits, corporations, as well as provincial and federal governments.

Job summary
Reporting to the Consulting Services Coordinator, the incumbent will be responsible for all aspects of project management, with a view to contributing to the quality of our services and deliverables.

Job description

  • Coordinate and execute projects under their responsibility.
  • Collaborate with the supervisor in determining various needs, e.g., human, material and financial resources to support activities under their responsibility.
  • Provide functional expertise and execution to ensure:
    • Optimal delivery of services and deliverables.
    • Quality of deliverables (quality control).
    • Customer service excellence.
    • Operational productivity.
  • Manage projects budgets.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Perform all other related tasks.

Required qualifications

  • College diploma or certificate in project management or relevant discipline.
  • Minimum of one year’s experience in project management or similar role.
  • Knowledge of agile and traditional project management methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS365 software.
  • Native fluency in ASL and English.
  • Knowledge of LSQ and French (asset).

Work schedule: part-time (15 hours/week)
Workplace: hybrid
Salary: to be discussed according to training and experience
Length of position: 6-month probation with possibility of renewal
Start date: september 2023

Job Summary

Reporting to the LSQ Services Coordinator, the incumbent is responsible for tasks related to LSQ training, with the aim of contributing to the quality of the LSQ course offering.

Job Description

  • Give private, group or in-house LSQ courses, according to the established plan.
  • Correct assignments and exams.
  • Offer and deliver engaging and interactive student-centered lessons using the communicative language teaching approach.
  • Establish a warm, inviting and non-judgmental learning environment for all.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and build strong relationships with students.
  • Adapt teaching methodologies and classroom activities.
  • Respect program and curriculum standards and objectives.
  • Use technology and authentic language resources to create an enriching and varied learning experience.
  • Provide corrective feedback and learning guidance to students.
  • Participate in the design of learning materials.
  • Attend staff meetings and professional development workshops.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Excellent command of the QSL.
  • Excellent pedagogue, caring, active listener.
  • Excellent time management, planning and organizational skills.
  • Creativity, flexibility, autonomy.
  • Experience in distance and online teaching (asset).
  • Certificates from professional associations and companies (asset).
  • Willingness to work atypical hours.

Work schedule: part-time (between 5 and 10 hours/week)
Workplace: remote and/or face-to-face.

Job duration: 6-month probation with possibility of renewal
